Together with SPACE10, we helped IKEA define its strategy for achieving digital transformation for customers and meeting its five-year growth targets.
CASE
IKEA underwent a significant digital transformation that affected all aspects of life and consumer behaviour; therefore, it needed a strategy to adapt and develop the necessary capabilities within the company to meet its five-year growth targets.
RESULTS
We helped senior management create a roadmap outlining key deliverables designed to enhance IKEA's value for both internal stakeholders and customers. This roadmap was presented to line managers and translated into business development initiatives.
Terne (as partner in This Design Tool and through SPACE10) supported planning and design and facilitated the senior management and subsequent process.
DELIVERABLES
The outcome was a widely accepted statement that defined expectations for addressing future consumer needs and aspirations. This roadmap sets priorities for business development and identifies 5 to 10 essential capabilities required to increase value and achieve growth targets over the next five years.
