We helped two departments at Banedanmark bring tasks, capacity and priorities together in Viewly, giving management and teams one place to balance workload and plan ahead.

SITUATION

The Work Environment and Educational Design departments at Banedanmark handle a large and growing number of tasks. Senior management wanted to protect employees' well-being and a healthy workload, while at the same time strengthening performance and collaboration through dialogue, planning and prioritisation, with a clear focus on continuous improvement.

RESULTS

With Viewly as a central system, task and resource planning came together in a one-step planning process, supported by visual management through automated dataflows and built-in dashboards. With one overview of tasks, capacity and progress, management and teams could make informed decisions on sequencing and staffing, based on insight into capacity and individual workloads.

Viewly made bottlenecks, dependencies and meeting time visible, so management could see where work slowed down, where capacity was under pressure, and where a small adjustment would make a big difference. Over time, this supported a systematic improvement practice: plans were adjusted based on flow and performance, and conversations about workload rested on transparent, fact-based insight.​

Together, Viewly and the tailored programme created a coherent way of running operations, with resources used where they matter most, few surprises, and a clear picture of what truly creates value across initiatives and departments. Viewly does not replace dialogue or decision-making. It gives everyone the same facts to work from when finding solutions that affect their daily work.​

DELIVERABLES

BY ERROR designed and delivered Viewly, and planned and facilitated the training, coaching sessions and workshops. The implementation was structured as a scenario-based learning journey, where management and teams took part in hands-on sessions built around their specific roles, responsibilities and workflows.

In these sessions, they built the capabilities to manage workload and resources together, using structured data and dialogue to keep improving.
